Arkon Dirt bike Mount for iPhone
An iPhone mount for a motorbike. Would anyone think that this is a good thing? Or even normal? My question is, why not? Many bicyclists purchase "computers" for their bikes that stalk distance, speed, maximum and minimums, time and the like using a magnetic composition that hooks to the wheel with a corresponding reader mounted to the fork. But with the GPS features on the iPhone and the right solicitation, you can duplicate this functionality without messy cables. The Arkon bicycle handlebar mount is one way to make that materialize. The unit itself is actually two pieces: The handlebar mount and the iPhone bracket that fits into it. It seems that this would function just as well with one essay, but the iPhone bracket is universal and can work with other Arkon mounts, so I understand the thinking behind this. Wishes larger handlebar mounting piece
They say that this panic all bikes, but it does not fit the standard road bike handle bars. It is too small and cannot be adjusted. Note to maker....either make the handlebar attachment larger or make it connect with two screws so there is adjustablity.
Works famed on both of my bicycles
I bought this first for my mongrel bicycle(a Trek) and it mounted perfectly. It keeps the iPhone in place and is adjustable enough to get a good viewing be after while you ride. I use the iPhone for listening to music and logging GPS data while I ride with MotionX GPS. After using it on the cross-breed bicycle for a while, I decided to move it to my road bike (a Felt). It was easy to move because the nut used to tighten it to the handle bars is a wingnut. I needed no tools. It mounted to the street bike handlebars with no problems. I'm buying a second one today so I don't have to move the mount.

Character Video Review Length:: 0:15 MinsI tried out the biologic mount today in the toughest assay I could come up with: 25 miles of bumpy gravel roads on my cyclocross bike, during the winter, while it was sporadically raining. Verdict: it did eximious, with the mount not moving at all even with 30mph bumpy descents across washboard dirt roads on road tires. The phone stayed dry in the cloudburst, I could read the screen easily whenever I needed it and I could even shoot video like this while riding with the front fa camera. About the only issue I found with it was using full fingered winter gloves made the touch screen a mean tough to register, but once I took my gloves off, it worked great.

Way More Than I Expected
This is perhaps my favorite Amazon advantage in a long, long time. I put this case to test this past Saturday on a drizzly San Antonio morning bike provoke. This was an urban ride, over railroad tracks, potholes, etc. which tested the case's mounting ironmongery. The drizzly rain tested the watertight capablility of the case. First of all, the engineering that went into this is stern. There is no cheap feel to this product. It feels substantial and appears to be made of high quality materials. Although pelted with volley, the IPhone remained dry and snug inside. The handlebar mount is far superior to any similar product I've purchased before for lights, bike computers, etc. I would almost say it is military rating hardware. I bought the case for an IPhone 4, but the case comes with an additional insert for an IPhone 3 if that's what you have. After 1 week, very well-timed with a few suggestions
I've had this on my motorbike for a little over a week now. My experience is therefore limited, but I 've put about 5 hours of use in while biking, so it's not nothing. FYI, I ride a mountain bike on Chicago streets -- I outmoded over a fair amount of road humps and have to hop on & off sidewalks at least a couple of times a day. Not crazy, bumpy mountain topography, but certainly not smooth track riding.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this, especially after spending a while checking out what else is on the store. I haven't seen any other bike mount on the market that looks to be better than this one (at least for < $100).The case is sturdy, I don't pester about the phone falling out when hitting bumps. The hinge/lock mechanism is great.I've been caught in 1 lavish shower and my iPhone 4 survived. That was with headphones plugged in, which is probably not advisable, given that you have to unplug the rubber cork from the headphone jack hole in the case...

Works well, no problems
I bought this on Amazon more rapidly this year. I use it to hold my 3GS on my road bike. It's worked great for 500+ miles over roads with the random major bump. I've had no problems at all - not with the iPhone detaching, not with mounting it to the bike - it's working perfectly. A few seconds ago I ordered a stand-in one of these for my other bike. A few notes, to put this into context for others: There is a little clip on the top that is the mechanism that fully secures your iPhone into the holster. If you don't burden your iPhone firmly when you insert it in the holster, it's sometimes possible for that clip to catch partially on the SIM card fit on the top of the iPhone. If you're not paying attention, you may think it's clipped in correctly, but it's not. This happened to me once... once I realized this, I by the skin of one's teeth give the phone an extra press when I clip it in, and it's fine. Extraordinary for Biking with iPhone
The iPhone bike mount works well-known! The clip portion twists off so that you don't have to leave it attached to the bike at all times (just the small mount stays on the bike). You can use the strike either horizontally or vertically, and it holds the iPhone firmly. Doesn't work with a skin or case on the phone. My only gripe is that the mount is attached to the bike with plastic ties, and that doesn't hold it in place quite firmly enough for my soup. When you twist the clip on and off, it twists the mount a bit too. But it seems to work fine.

I use my iPhone as a iPod when riding, and didn't like riding with the armband I use at the gym. I was a diminutive apprehensive when I ordered this, but it was cheap enough I thought it was worth the risk. I'm quite pleased I did. It holds my iPhone at a easygoing angle to see and control, and holds it securely. The only negative that I have found, is that the phone is heavy enough and the lever arm dream of enough that it will rotate around the handlebar when the trail gets rough and bouncy. I recommend it, though, if you want a way to get the iPhone off your armband or other sensitive, uncomfortable and/or inaccessible place you carry it.
