I've been waiting for legitimate the right netbook. This is it!I have been in the furnish for a netbook for over a year now. I have spent many a hour pouring over reviews online, watching youtube unboxings and reviews, and truly doing a lot of hands on in retail stores with all of the options out there. I am thrilled to say that after only 24 hours with the Toshiba NB305-N410WH, I identify that I waited for just the right one. The reviews for its' predecessor (the NB205) had put that netbook on the top of most professional reviewers schedule. And, indeed in my own hands on tests, it was right at the top as well. My main concern was the battery that stuck out of the back on that model. I had reprimand close to overlooking this drawback, as I was so pleased with the rest of the model. What kept me from it was a concern I had know from some reviews indicating that sometimes streaming video would skip or get stuck (a universal concern on most netbooks)either due to processor or graphics. TOSHIBA NB305-N310: Enormous MACHINE, BUT CAN YOU TRUST IT?
Preface I regretfully gave the Toshiba NB305-N310 three stars after thorough research and fervent hands-on evaluation. For the hardware alone, it clearly deserves five stars. But I was generous in only deducting two stars for the software and its nefarious engrossed. If you are capable of, and have the time for, a complete reinstall of Windows or Linux and reinstallation of some number of the thirty-seven drivers and utility files from the Toshiba Website, then you will have a five-headliner netbook. If you are not, then this netbook, like so many others, will not really be your friend. Or else it will be like a bad friend who spies on you, monitors you, deceives you, and leaves your adept in wide open while housesitting. My reasons and criteria for finally selecting this netbook will incontrovertibly be different than those of others. But I assure you, I have considered even those elements which did not concern me as well as issues and reviews...
First Netbook Superior!
I will allow this is my first netbook but I do have two laptops and two other desktops in the house. The keyboard is absolutely great on this machine, it is what engrossed me to the Toshiba initially. I have had this machine for about a week now and so far there is nothing that I can really complain about. The battery life is implausible, although I have yet to try to drain it. Today the machine was on, but not in constant use, for over six hours and it still showed 40% battery soul. The screen is very good and even though only 10.1" I am forgetting that I'm on a small machine. Very spacious hard compel at 250GB. This prompted me to permanently move my iTunes collection to this machine so that I can update my podcasts and sync regularly while itinerant. I purchased the machine primarily as a personal and entertainment machine while travelling for house. I am able to keep it next to my full size work laptop while responding to email or other tasks and easily "jump"...

Fit netbook with FULL keyboardUnforgivable little netbook at an affordable price. Specs are pretty standard for a 2010/2011 netbook: 1G RAM, 250Gb HD, 3 USB ports, essential video camera, separate Mic & headphone jacks, sd card slot, vga output and a very productive 8h battery life. There are a lot of netbooks like this on the market, but what really stands out for me on this one is the keyboard, FULL volume main keys with ALL the cursor movement keys: DEDICATED up, down, right,left, PGUP, PGDN, Lodgings and END. I work a lot with excel spreadsheets and it is really uncomfortable to move pressing fn+end/up orf+end/down or ctrl+fn+home, ctrl+fn+end, etc. to move around. Also scrolling with pgup/pgdown while reading a great web page is a pain when you have to press also the fn key! With most netbooks you have to live with the fn key, not in this case, the NB505 keyboard is surely practical and comfortable, almost like a full laptop or pc keyboard, even do the position of the keys is not standard, they let you do the work...
Congested Netbook - Excellent Second Computer
I bought this computer a few weeks ago and so far my affair has been very positive. This netbook is solidly constructed and is ready to use out of the box. The keyboard isn't difficult to use and the trackpad is OK - a negligible oversensitive for my taste. Unlike many other systems it doesn't come with a lot of bloatware - trial versions of programs you don't scantiness anyway. There is some, but almost all for arguably useful programs. The included Toshiba software seems well-designed even though I personally have no use for it. As for make tracks, the computer is powerful enough for a netbook, and will run net-based and home office applications smoothly. Of course, it falls hastily for more intense use like video editing, image processing or games - but then again, that's not what this computer is for. However, the Atom processor in this part is on its way out, and for about $100 more you can get a netbook that is considerably faster. Nevertheless, or a solid, cheap, ultraportable...
hardly netbook,,are yu cute or what?!!
I study a lot of the reviews before i bought this little netbook, glad i ignored most of them. This is a great little gizmo, It's not for gamers. It's not for techies. But it's spotless for surfin the web, email, facebook and day to day stuff or travel to keep in touch. It's small (the keyboard takes a mean practise) and light weight. it's more than fast enough. People who expect this to run and do all the things a desktop or full magnitude/function laptop do are being silly. It's not what this is for. I like it a lot.

I nothing but bought dell M501R from best buy, I am trying to use the Alt f4 to close the pages but it functions as light key, I click on FN it still doesnt line, very complicated, I want to be able to use Alt f4 to close my browers, tell me what to do? The FN key activated all the immaculate/blue icons on the keyboard that are the secondary funtions of the keys(turning off/off wireless, turning happiness up and down, etc). This button will NOT work as an alt or as any other key on the keyboard.
