Asus VW246H 24-Inch LCD Monitor
Details
Description16:9 Full HD, HDMI, 2ms and 2Wx2 Build in Rabble-rouserCustomer ReviewsMost monitor I've ever had/seen.This is an Awesome monitor. I consider myself a techie and I spent nearly a month searching for the best lcd guard that wouldn't break the bank. This is by far one of the best purchases I've made in my life. If you are still looking around debating between monitors, please don't annihilate anymore time. Get this one. I did the research, read and watched tons of reviews on tons of monitors and this one has exceeded my expectations, which were very lavish. It's 2 ms response time is great and there is absolutely no ghosting (I've ran tests on it). The contrast is superb, although the blacks could be a smidgen deeper at times, but still, they are great and I am very, very particular about good black levels. The monitor is very clear and it truly shines at 1080p. I've played multiple games on my ps3 through the hdmi seaport on this monitor and I can surely say that this is the best I've ever seen my games look, even when I compare to other lcd tv's I've connected it. This study is so clear... Perilous contrast! I principled purchased this monitor--moving from an older IBM 21 inch CRT monitor and WOW what a difference! Righteous reclaimed what seemed like 4 square feet of desk space and not to mention the power bill also improved by in all likelihood $50 a month! Honestly though--great picture out of the box. Maybe a bit too vivid if I was being picky but I confidence in most people will love the picture it produces without any adjustments. I decided to breakout my calibration disk that I Euphemistic pre-owned on my HDTV so I set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 and then tweaked the contrast, brightness, etc and once done it was fantastic! Blacks are very usefulness for an LCD--but do not expect plasma levels. Very quick refresh rate--I was a bit worried that when I play games that I would see ghosting--Nope. None. When playing HD video on ITunes, it looked very belongings. I highly recommend the monitor to anyone. The price/value ratio is the best I could find. Pleasingly first monitor After using a 20 inch imac for over 3 years it was without surcease to upgrade. The screen on the 20 inch had become unevenly lit, and had seen it's better days. I adamant to upgrade to the new 24 inch imac decked out. After returning 3 yes 3 of them due to screen issues it was time to move on. I got a refund, and adamant to purchase a mac pro so I could have control of the screen. I decided this monitor was the best for the money at the time. The first one I got had an palpable stuck pixel. It was green, and just about in the middle of the screen. Anymore I'm used to taking things back as now consumers are the calibre control. A couple of button presses later I had another one on the way. I must say for an online retailer amazon has implausible customer service. The bad one was picked up at the same time the new one was delivered so I had no down time without a monitor. Thats very notable when you just got a new computer that your dieing to get all set up!!! I never even had to talk to one...
Kensington MicroSaver DS Keyed Ultra-Thin Notebook Lock
Details
DescriptionMicrosaver Micro DS Laptop Oblige Ultra Thin Lock For NotebookCustomer ReviewsIt got stuck initially onI virtuous want people to know that the lock can freeze up. I bought this lock two months ago for my daughter to take to college. After using it upstanding one month, she told me the key wouldn't turn in the lock. I called tech support and they suggested "a bolt lubricant", so she got the dorm maintenance man to come up to her room with some WD-40. (the computer was locked to her desk) The can has a particle straw attached to the nozzle, so you don't have to worry about getting oily spray all over the computer. She let the oil sit for about 10 minutes, and then the key worked the grapple a secure just fine. I just thought I'd let y'all know in case it ever happens to you. It's an easy fix. Works, but panic loosely I purchased this constrain for an Asus EEE 901. It works OK, but the lock cylinder doesn't go far enough along the lock mechanism at the laptop end, resulting in it jiggling around. It is still successfully secured, but it LOOKS gimcrack - not at all like the Microsaver (non-DS) that I also own. I mainly got this lock because I didn't want two keys that looked the same on my keychain, but I desire that this lock fit into the computer as well as the non-DS lock does (I use that one for a different laptop).Still, it works fine and that's what matters. Kensington MicroSaver Plant Familiar this product on a cruise late August 2010 to secure MacBook Pro (mid 2010) to a desk in our cottage. Picture is included above in "customer images." It takes a while to insert end into the Mac as one must align a few items on the locking end of the line. Once attached and locked, the head of the locking unit rotates a full 360 degrees to OK SuperDrive use. The cable appears to be sturdy and key can be easily carried or concealed once removed from locking constituent. Cable cutters are unlikely to be allowed through embarkation security, but the correct "industrial force" tool could probably cut the cable. It IS a deterrent to snatch and run thieves, however, which, while passing our cabin, could take but a few steps to get to the computer while the hut steward was distracted.

It is not the state with this device which is solely a CD-ROM drive. It will play music off your CDs and it will read any files stored on CDs but it will NOT give recognition to the DVD format. As a CD drive, it performed flawlessly when connected through the USB port on my Vista machine. You will find the following in the box:- the CD journey itself- USB cable to connect to computer- cable to connect to external power supply (not needed and apparent power supply is not provided)- mini CD disk with drivers (not needed in my case)- 3-paragraph 'guide'Worth mentioning:- drive is very slim - 1/4"- on my Vista laptop installation was conditioned... Crucial customer service This piece arrived quickly, but I had a problem with it and posted this feedback, (which I'm altering now.) The seller contacted me within perhaps an hour of posting feedback and worked to make me happy with my purchase, which I now am. I would rate Matt at Westronics a 5 out of 5--he's a benevolent guy. It's small and compact, moreso than I expected, which was nice. it comes with two cables, an A to B USB, and an odd little USB to power mooring cable that I've never seen. This seems odd because it draws power from the A to B cable enough to run the CD rom, and with the USB to power port cable, there is no text transfer...so what good is it? (weird)The instructions consist of a small card, half of it is in English, and primitively says "plug it in, and it should work, if not, load the disk (how, if it doesn't work?) and run the program." I'm paraphrasing, but it's nominal info. Not a problem because the unit is plug and play--you won't need much info.The... Unrivalled Worked wonderfully right out of the box. Plugged it in and my computer instantly "saw" it. No software needed. Just plug and play. I bought this to make restitution for a finicky drive on my CPU and this solution is DRAMATICALLY cheaper. |
