works bad with jailbroken ipod touch 3g
Got this so I could use it with roqybt for the ipod dash and it works perfectly. takes about a minute to find a signal sometimes but other than that I have no problems with this device. I love how this fancy turns off automatically once it is no longer connected to my ipod, i don't have to worry or remember about turning it off when I refrain from my car and I have to start the gps program backup on my ipod when I get back to the car so turning this device back on is just a small not attuned to to starting the gps program. and its not like theres a lot to do when you turn this thing on, you hit the one button on the device to froing it on then I click one button on my ipod and bam its connected and the gps program is searching for a signal which it finds very despatch compared to my TomTom One gps which usually takes 5 or more minutes to find even one satalite and thats on clear life span with a clear view of the sky.if you have a jailbroken ipod touch 3g and don't want to buy the expensive gps...

Works eager, but a bit expensive
I at most found out on ebay that there are other GPS receivers for hardly 10 bucks (with shipping), I paid 26 bucks for this. Anyways, my incipient view is that it work great. I am using it on jailbroken Ipod touch 4 with 4.2 firmware, downloaded BTstack GPS (for 5 $s from cydia), and it is up and match. I also have a FM transmitter which helps me mount it in my car and play music while using GPS... Around 50$s for GPS with mounting and music, not bad....

Why does thou not have a mini USB pony?
My snare: iPod Touch 4th Generation - Jailbroken, using BTStack, Kensington Acoustically Amplified GPS Cradle with Fretting Mount and a TomTom Bluetooth GPS Receiver for USA and Canada.GPS App: Motion-X Drive but will probably change-over to something with stored maps.Pros: This receiver uses the SiRF Star III chip. That's not in the specifications but it should be. Picks up six satellites while sitting in my concern and picked up eight while on the road. Low battery consumption and automatically turns itself off if not connected for more than 10 minutes. My iPod impassion or should I say BTStack (Ahem!) connected effortlessly to the receiver and transmitted the co-ordinates to Motion-X Drive.Cons: What are all these cables for?! Absolutely, this GPS was built in the era of non-standard chargers. Wake up Tom Tom, 2011 is here! If not micro-USB, atleast a mini-USB pony please? And a nokia cable, Palm Treo cable, iPAQ cable? iPAQ guy?? Why? Are those even...
