Savvy little puck, as good as (but different from) Apple TV
This doll-sized player, about the size of a hockey puck, is exactly what I was looking for. It's cheap, easy, and fun. I got it to take the role Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Vimeo, and everything else it does is a pleasant add-on, especially motion-restricted Angry Birds. If you're in the market for a Roku 2, I think you might as well get this high-end model (there are stripped-down versions for less dough) since it has a few more capabilities, including a game controller, an ethernet jack, and a USB port for playing extraneous files. The software interface is not slick but everything fast and responsive.UPDATE: I added a prominent because this unit has proven itself much more stable than it was at launch, due to frequent software updates. Also, the machine now has the HBO Go app, which allows you to burn from HBO on demand from a huge catalog of movies and TV shows.How is the Roku 2 different from the Apple TV (which it resembles, and I also considered)? The pre-eminent streamer on the market!
First I have to say the annulling reviews are puzzling to me, because I dont think those buyers understand what they are buying.As you know there is 3 versions, I totally recommend you spend the money on the XS (99.95) model, the main reason is because it's the only model with a USB seaport. Which in short term will allow you connect USB HD and play any movies you may of ripped from your DVD's. I have a 4TB array of interest with most of my DVD collection, which is close to 1000 movies.Roku has three type of channels:PublicAppsPrivateThe supporters channels are the once visible in what is called "Channel Store". Currently there about 300, but channels are supplementary weekly. Eminent device, user experience could be better
I've been using Roku 2 XS for a few era now and I must say I like the device, but there are quite a few hiccups. So first the good stuff.* The Box is tiny and the setup is a Nautical cat's-paw. I was up and streaming in under 5 mins.* Netflix, Huluplus, Amazon and Pandora worked fine* Streaming in 1080p worked amusing without buffering (I use Xfinity) and the quality is superb* The Ethernet option (available only in XS) is very helpful and the Worth of streaming is far better than wirelessand the not so good stuff:* The Box does not have adequate memory and requirements an external micro-SD card for more capacity* The device re-booted a few times for me when switching between channels. I was initially very reversed with this as the reboot process takes about 3-4 mins. I called support and they asked me to uninstall Mad Birds as it takes up huge amount of space. Did that and then on no re-boots. This sucks as Roku 2 advertises Enraged Birds big time and...

Basic router update
Only installed this new router yesterday and could not be happier. We live in a relatively large home with multiple wireless and wired electronics and was having dilemma with having all electronics running at the same time and signal not getting to all areas of the home, even though before router was also N band. Now signal is much stronger and can have multiple wireless computers and a Roku booming on at the same time with no delay. Set up was very easy, it recognizes and I can label the different electronic equipment and very na set up for guest account. Highly recommended.

Basic!
I bought this router before it was officially "released" at a close by best buy. As of now, it is performing flawlessly. Range is phenomenal with both 2.4 and 5ghz bands, both travel one bowl over up and 100 meters away through many walls, and I get 5 bars for every computer except one, which is very old and operating on wireless g.Setup is a snap with the included CD and ethernet cable (Gigabit!!) , and you can access more advanced settings online at its defect ip address at 192.168.1.1, or by clicking on "Advanced Settings" on the setup CD. For example, you can setup tie mode or port forwarding online. Making changes with the online interface is sharp, with a notification that "Your changes have been saved" whenever you make any. Also, it is one of the cheapest 300 + 450mbps routers on the bazaar today with a usb port, and it's also made by a trusted brand - Cisco/Linksys. Entire, a nice wireless router
To set the stage for my regard, all of my wireless access points are 802.11n (I've been upgrading over the years) with some being dual-band, and my wireless router for the done two or so years has been a Qwest Actiontec Q1000. The Actiontec broadcasts all 802.11 protocols like this Linksys, but the two differences are that it works over a celibate 2.4GHz band and does not allow a USB device to be attached and accessed over the network. I wanted to see if the instant band at 5GHz would increase my throughput. I use wireless for both internet access (on a ~25 Mbps network rush) and streaming HD video to my PS3 (which is wired to an 802.11n access point).Overall, I think that this is a profitable router with good performance. This is my first Robot-based tablet, and I'm not going to compare it to the tablet that's made by that fruit-themed company and will keep this within the Machine space. Beneficial Android tablet but flawed...
Dell striate7 tablet works very well, smooth operations fast and easy to hold read and conduct. As always with Dell products there are some serious product flaws overlooked by designers.I can understand the screen is not higher precision, to save cost and it doesn't bother me but the battery life and a short power string is absolutely dumb on Dell's design.The screen if not compared side by side with a higher resolution guard is in fact quite pleasent and fluid to work with. The battery life is 3 to 4 hours, depends how you use it. If charged in the evening, with pushy power savings options selected, it is dead by morning. The battery is not replacable and is a little one compared to competition. It is as if no one put a thought to it. The cord is short so you can't work plugged in. You would need an magnitude cord either from the wall to the charger or a usb extension to the charger since the supplied cord is 30pin dell at one end and usb at the other...
