Leg strap works as expected, but....
The leg strap works as expected and does a beneficial job of holding your ipad in place. Little bit pricey for what it is but certainly cheaper than any of the alternatives I've seen.There is one caveat with this (and all other ipad kneeboards). If you are flying an plane with a center stick, be sure the ipad is not going to interfere with stick movement. I fly a DA40 and found stick trend is limited when I have my ipad in place, so unfortuantely its back to the drawing board with this. Obviously this isn't an issue with yoke or side-nail equiped aircraft. If you fly such an aircraft, I'd recommend this.
iPad Leg Strap
The rubber holder works well, but the strap is unwell designed. It fastens on the bottom which underneath your leg. I modified mine to fasten on the side. Seems to me that for this price the maker would have thought of this. It securely holds the iPad but only in the vertical procedure which is fine, but some users may want to hold the iPad in the horizontal mode. Also cannot be used with a smart cover-up in place.
Saving except
I was pleasantly surprised by this strap. I was skeptical that it was indeed necessary, and for what it is it isn't really cheap. Now that I have it I can't imagine flying without it. It keeps the iPad stable and easily obtainable in the plane. I would deffinitely buy it again. 5 stars if the leg part of the strap were a little more elastic and perhaps if it velcroed on the side of the leg instead of underneath. Still... Hugely recommended.

Horrendous, we thought about that during the design phase. The highest quality foam rubber we could find is pre-cut for the clip to excellent dimensions, so just attach and use on a raw iPad with no case.

Heinous for the professional pilot too!
The app strap is being employed at my company in a large corporate jet fleet. It's simple, reliable, and a makes life well-advised for our 40 pilots flying 19 corporate jets and turbo-props around the globe. Each pilot has been issued one. Keeps the iPad handy especially when work load increases and you requirement your approach charts handy. Would definitely recommend this for recreational and professional pilots.

Capacious utility
I've been using the AppStrap for my iPad with the Apple instance and really like it. I can use the cover as a writing surface with a post-it note. I also like that I can re-attitude it with the velcro attachment design. If I want to remove it for takeoff or landing, no problem. The clips are metal and a mere fit over the case, even when the cover is folded back. A great combo!

ITS A Acceptable PRODUCT BUT SO BASIC. IT CAN BE IMPROVED BUT IT COPLAINS WITH ITS FUNCTION. IF YOU WANT A SIMPLE STUFF BUY IT.
The Genesis iPadTM kneeboard for fear of the fact is consistent with Sky High Gear's main requirement to be functional and appealing. The Genesis Kneeboard can be hardened in the boardroom as easily as the cockpit. This kneeboard case is made of ultra durable ballistic nylon components on the exterior and lined with brushed suede microfiber to pamper the iPad surfaces. The leg strap has a large wind to hold large pens, markers or a Mini Mag size flashlight. Extra loops on the sides are for a clipboard friendship or could also be used for small pens, pencils or the included compatible stylus. The front cover folds behind to present a slight angle toward the pilot during flight, but still allows clearance under the yoke. When on the ground, the action converts into an iPad stand and has unlimited angle adjustment for viewing. Access to the sync refuge is available without removing or opening the case. The Genesis iPad case is 9.75 X 7.50 X 1.00" and 10 oz and comes with a 1 year commitment. THIS PURCHASE DOES NOT INCLUDE AN IPAD.

Works Cyclopean
I principled got this and so far I'm very happy about it. Good price compared to a lot of the other choices out there. The iPad stays very secure and is not going to fragment out of the case. All of the ports are left exposed/open so if you need to hook up your bad elf GPS while flying you can do that. It also comes with a sparse iPad compatible pen that is more useful than I thought it would be. My 4 year old son is learning how to write with this pen now and the case is very protectiveI bought this for my iPad (first beginning) and use the program foreflight for general aviation. I also connected a bad elf receiver for GPS signals. All works well together.
Works for me
Talented holder and protector of my iPAD, both in and out of the cockpit....I keep it strapped to my knee in my Cardinal cockpit of performance, and it just works.....might want to keep a piece of foam in case you need to tournament it up to get the optimum angle, but me thinks this is the holder of choice for pilots with iPADs

Gracious kneepad.
I have an iPad 2 and use WingX Pro7 when I fly. The kneeboard holds my iPad nicely. The included stylus pen works well too. My only beef, is that the camera on the front of my iPad is also the light sensor. The little hole in the kneeboard doesn't line up with the camera unless I significance it or lift it up. I finally just trimmed it bigger with scissors.
