Stunning productI bought the HC-25 which was readily obtainable at Costco. But then I came across this model on the panasonic website. The fact that it had airplay and CD/ipod combo sealed the buy. Setting up Airplay was child's play, took about 5 mins. I had to take it close the my wireless router and urge the WPS button on both.The sounce is very rich and pleasing. I can airplay my iTunes library, youtube and even pandora. I can direction the volumne from my ipod as well.This is exactly what I was looking for.There is an Ipod dock, but I dont I will be using it at all.

This is a terrific current stereo system. It looks great and feels solid. Grippy rubber stuff on the bottom keeps it solidly planted on the counter, and there is a wall mounting hardware set if you want to hang it.The sound is surprisingly full accepted the size of the unit. Out of the box, Panasonic has the bass boosted and I think it's too much. There are plenty of adjustments for vein, and it was easy to set it to better suit my kitchen environment.I am particularly impressed with the Airplay main film. Since my wireless router doesn't have the WPS button, I had to use "Method 2" in the setup instructions. This involves connecting to the stereo using WiFi on a computer/iPod/iPad etc. and then pointing that utensil's browser to a specific IP address. This gives a menu for having the stereo search for your wireless router and then for entering the WiFi shibboleth. You can also set the stereo's Airplay name. Tenderness it!
This stereo both looks and sounds celebrated! I waited for this model to come out for the Airplay, which the SC-HC55 doesn't have. My modem doesn't have a WPS button, so setting up Airplay according to Method 2 in the owner's manual isn't exactly straightforward, but I did it get working on my third try on. Other than that small setback, this is an amazing product.For such a small unit, the sound quality is full and well provided for with no distortion. I use it in my great room which is 30' x 50' with a 26' ceiling. Both CD's and the radio dependable incredible (I don't have an iPod, so I don't use the iPod dock). Besides the remote control, I can use my iMac to control CD tracks sum total, etc. All said and done, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Accomplished except for one small issue...I purchased this, and I regard as it's a great system. Great sound, and the ability to open the iPod and CD sections with a hand move to is a cool feature. The design is slick, and I like the thin size of it. I've played around with the Internet transmit too. Some people will balk at having to buy the vTuner app, but if you're not going to use Internet radio, skip buying it. Of certainly, if you're not using Internet radio, you may want to look into the SC-HC35, which costs less, and has the same basic purpose as this unit.The only real issue I have with this unit is that it seems to be designed for the iPod Touch or the iPhone, as opposed to the iPod Outstanding. When skipping to the next track, there are times when the system will fast forward about 5 seconds, instead of moving to the next misplace. This happens about every 5 or 6 tracks.Aside from that small gripe, this really is a nice system.
Express Movement in Technology
I was skeptical at first upon purchasing this article based on the reviews here on Amazon. When reading more carefully I found the one out of four reviewers that rated this stereo inexpertly was based on the customer service of Panasonic, rather than the actual performance of the device. Just received the stereo today and unwrapped it. It only took me a quantity of minutes to pair my iPhone and my iPad to the device. I was previously using the Panasonic SC HC3 Micro system which is expected for iPods only and not iPhones. When I used my phone with that stereo I had a ton of distortion and interference with the speakers to the phone which made the investigate unbearable and annoying. Not to discredit the product, it wasn't made for iPhones.MOTION SENSORThis stereo however far exceeds its predecessors by leaps and bounds. I turtle-dove the motion sensor to open and close the iPod/CD sides. I feel like saying "Responsive Sesame!" I was worried at first that by simply walking...
Indeed Trying Hard To Like this Unit
First off I'd regard myself a bit of an Audiophile. I was looking for something to replace my Logitech Audio Station which is getting a bit long in the tooth. I was paying attention to this unit because of the slick look and bluetooth capability. Setup was easy enough and I was able to sync my Ipad and Ipod with after reading the directions, no problems. For the most part it has a lot of features that I wish a lot of bookshelf units had like the "magical door", streaming bluetooth and internet radio (via $1.99 app you have to buy from Itunes). The tuner seems to calling fine and CD player is very nice as well.Now for the bad. For some reason I cannot get this unit to sync with my HTC EVO. Don't know if it's only geared for Apple products but I tried my phone and my old lady's BB to no avail. Number 2 the sound quality, the high and mids are just outstanding and I would take to be it on par with Bose and Soundfreaq units. The bass, well that's another issue. The bass is just OK but not...
