Works Like a Enchant
Honest starting out as a DIYer, I'd been looking into code readers but was put off by the price of many scan tools that can do more than shreds the trouble codes. I was skeptical about this at first and spent weeks searching the internet for reviews. Then my SES keeping went on after doing some work myself and I finally decided to purchase this little cable. Very reassuring for "check engine" light
I recently utilized the goLINK to diagnose the OBDII codes for "check engine" in my 2001 Mazda minivan. I did not certainty the dealership and wanted to know the codes myself. I was truly impressed with the ease of use and effectiveness of the offering. Just download the free app, plug it in and scroll through the menus. Wishes more testing - More or less a BETA product now
I bought one of these and tested it on 4 dissimilar cars - 1999 Miata, 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2007 GMC Defile and 2010 Sienna. It will read some of the data from the OBDII port but not all and I found quite a few displays resting at 0. GoPoint says they have new software in the works but I didn't lack to be part of their BETA test team so I sent it back for a refund. Good idea just not there yet.

Beats driving to the sports car store.
I purchased this adapter because it seemed to have gambler compatibility in comparison to some of the other ones(blue & orange) on Amazon. I tested this adapter on a 2001 Lexus IS300 and and 2002 Chevy Tahoe using the Torque lite app via a CM7 HP Touchpad. The adapter indubitably yet firmly fit into both of the OBD2 ports. After setting up and syncing the devices together it began to display all sorts of productive data such as Engine RPM, Temperature, O2 voltages, Intake G/S, and some other statistics. I'm not sure if it is a limitation of the cars ECU's or the Torque app but some figures failed to display (main voltage, mpg, a few others). I never got to read/erase diagnostic codes because one car had the codes wiped out ex to checking and the other vehicle simply wasn't throwing any codes. Overall I think its a attractive good product, because it works, is inexpensive and it beats driving to the parts store.

Problems with bluetooth appropriateness - UPDATED
I received this memo in the mail yesterday (very quickly I might add) and immediately connected it to my 2009 Chevy Impala. My phone (Motorola Admiral with Machine Gingerbread)paired with the device but would not connect and read any information from scanner. When I got home I tried a 2011 Impala with the same results. Today I tried it again in my 2003 Porsche Boxster with no results. I grabbed my Vizio 8 Plaquette with Android Gingerbread tried to sync with the scanner and Porsche combo but it still will not work.I have tried inserting the machinery, turning the car on, pairing then opening the Torque app in that sequence. No worky.I tried turning on the car, inserting the thingumajig, pairing then Torque. Still no worky.One thing to note the device will illuminate the LEDs on the front of the portion from red to yellow to green and back again before staying red. I have contacted the seller and requested support and will update this procession...

The program is very consumer-friendly, and easy to learn. The package includes software for reading and resetting codes. Gnet's DigitalDash 5, a front end software for a Car PC that includes OBD functionality when the appliance is connected to your car pc. The processor is compatible with the AT command set for the widest compatibility with freeware and commercial programs written for the ELM series of interface chips from Elm Electronics. The reference to the computer is USB via a built in USB to serial converter.

I purchased this certain ELM327 interface which arrived quickly and the packaging was fine. I plugged it into the car and noticed the diagnostic lights were positioned against the underside of the bound. The device slowly linked up to Torque (Android phone app), and would update very slowly, or fix up intermittently.I bought another scanner, only this time it was labeled Soliport ELM 327, and it works chaste.A few differences I should point out between the two units. I will refer to the problematic scanner as A and the good, working one as B.- [A] has a nub on the back end of the come what may, where [B] is flat- The cut-out notch/tab for the ODBII interface on [B] is on the same side as the label and diagnostic lights- The product spit for [B] showed the cut-out notch/tab being on the same side as the label and diagnostic lights- [B] syncs up quickly and provides almost twinkling of an eye stats (there is about a fraction...
Very Productive
I purchased this outcome knowing that it might not be the best Bluetooth OBDII interface on the market. I use it to interface with Torque on a Motorola Droid.The effect is housed in hard plastic and seems very well put together. It does not seem prone to breakage and easily survives drops of five feet to sober pavement with minimal cosmetic damage.As for connectivity I have not experienced any interruption while driving with the phone habitual to the center console (approx. distance from phone to device no more than one meter).I have not attempted to use the software that came with the heraldic bearing. In fact, I'm fairly sure that I've thrown it away. Torque is well worth the extra few dollars and having logs on leg up in the phone that I use day to day is useful.I've used this product to read codes for several family members although this aid is provided for free by many automotive supply outlets. I have purchased and utilized this bluetooth device. I have successfully paired it to my Nokia N95 phone, and used it in the following vehicles... 2001 Audi A6, 2007 Toyota 4Despatch-rider, 2008 Toyota Rav4. It allows me to capture and/or see data while driving, and even reset codes while driving. You can stuff it in and leave it in place to utilize whenever you feel the need, just take out your phone and start the app. I sanctuary't found any significant battery drainage even after parking for 2 weeks during a trip out of town. The device is well built, powerful, and worth the money. The great thing about using with a smart phone is that one can utilize multiple apps to permission this data, I currently use Automobile <auto-mobile.ca>, ODBScope <obdscope.com>, and RaceChrono <racechrono.com>.
