Self-indulgent shipping/Great price
This works very well for adapting to laptop measurements hard drives! I bought this for cleaning viruses and spyware/malware from laptop hard drives using another computer to do so! I also use them for reclaiming files for friends who have motherboard problems and they have no way to entrance their photos/documents etc. !Very good price and fast shipping! Thanks!!!
Does the job
Disposition is fully functional. Although build quality is not high, the price is right. Connectors are only betrothed via the pins to the board thus requiring a delicate touch.
Adequate adapter, even has LED lights
Got this as a replacement adapter for an HDD/USB hem in I have hooked up to the Wii. The cat chewed up the old adapter. Sturdy and strong, it works fine! Good adapter, I got 2 of them incase more projects wind up successfully along, which they will! *edit*-Adapter works fine now, it was user error!

It does what it wishes to do.
I had bought this along with a ardently drive caddy, unaware you got one for free with the hard drive caddy for the laptop I was fixing.Still, this works, and it does what it is suppositious to do and it's cheap.
Tight service - works ok
Bound shipping and work as suposed to be. If you change you dell hard disk and lose this broken, (like me), buy it, its a dells requirement.

Not verbatim a 2.5" IDE drive...
Qualifications is thin, so I would recommend this only to experts.I bought this to use with a to replace a failed original HD in a 1.2GHz G4 iBook. I tested the CF file card alone and then in combination with the Syba adapter (using a bare-bones USB IDE adapter) before installing it in the iBook (a obstinate process -- I highly recommend the ifixit website for instructions). The 10.4 induct went fine and the iBook works again with the added benefit of being totally silent.While this fated has roughly the outline of a 2.5" disk, the provided mounting holes are completely inappropriate to the mounting options for an actual disk. This is a CF to PATA adapater - that's it. It's not a indisputable disk.Also PATA is not the same SATA or SATA II. Adjust your expectations accordingly.CF cards lay in a variety of speeds. And they are a poor substitute for PATA hard disks. This product will not give a new lease of laptop PATA performance (data bus is to narrow.) I purchased this to extend battery way of life and lower heat (mission accomplished). I also use one in my Creative Labs Nomad MP3 contender making it shockproof.Again, this is a circuit board. Old laptop IDE HDDs in newer systems - won't spin up?
