Calamitous Disappointment
I had very boisterous hopes for this product. I saw enough positive reviews to see it would be worth trying out. I know from other posts that it would take a while to get it set up and possibly there could be some scratches or plastic rub burns on the MacBookPro (MBP) case. Unfortunately all of this was true. Eventually I got it to occupation for a few weeks.Periodically I had to realign the connectors - especially the mini DVI-type connector for the MBP. After connect to a month it just would not align. Per the manufacturer's recommendation for using it, the adapter with a longer radio should be included in the unit - but it was not. This is almost an entirely plastic device. I used the recommended Apple mini DVI-transcribe connector to VGA adapter to work with my KVM switch.I broke down and got an extension cable. This did not work with the adapter I had and it poor the connector holder in the docking station. At this point I returned the unit. Fortunately Amazon took...

Bad concept, poor execution
This system where they deliver on labor costs by having the consumer assemble the unit ruins the product, I could not get the power off to line up properly. Also, this is NOT a proper dock- it is designed to have a web of wires hanging out behind it! Get a book arc and cable extenders and you'll be rightful as well off. Hopefully v3 will be an actual dock that locks the unit into place.

Not Agreeable for Prime Time
After spending at least two hours attempting to get this to business, I have given up. Assembling the plugs should be done by the manufacturer. They will simply not align. I am especially gentle with this standard of device and am extremely mechanically inclined. I would advise against purchasing this dock. If you really covet it, I have two for sale. Cheap.I am looking forward to the new version.

I was a hardly any cautious about purchasing the dock, but am glad I did as I am going to purchase another for the other location I use my computer. Much easier to practise medicine the computer and have everything connected than the other alternative.

Niggardly material. Poor design. Confusing directions. Poor Execution
The upshot as advertised seemed like a good solution for my Macbook pro on my desk using a Cinema display. I purchased and took a day fatiguing to figure out how to put it together and then when it was complete wondering what the hell it did. It was not stream line, it was not organized, it was just a synthetic cover with screws that covered up some cables in a bulky and unsightly way. I contacted the company and told them am I doing something felonious or missing something and the answer was "NO". Got an RA and sent it back immediately and Amazon refunded my money. I can not see how this product would be advantageous in any situation.
